​The California Community Colleges Women's Caucus (CCCWC) aims to unify and support women from across California Community Colleges while identifying unique opportunities to strengthen student, faculty, and employee success in our system.​​

Leadership

Dr. Barbara Dunsheath  has been a trustee at North Orange County Community College District since 2005. Dunsheath served as NOCCCD Board President in 2011, 2016, 2021, 2026; Vice President in 2010, 2015, 2020, and Board Secretary in 2009, 2014, 2019, 2024, 2025.
Statewide, she has served in the following capacities: 
  • California Community College Trustee – Board Advisory Council on
  • Educational Services (ACES) Distance Education and Technology Advisory
  • Committee, Chancellor's Office Commissioner, Accreditation Commission
  • Community and Junior Colleges Commission on the Future, Vice Chair
  • California Community Colleges Women's Caucus
She is a Professor of History at East Los Angeles College and is the Chair of the Women/Gender Studies Department.  Dunsheath earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from California State University Long Beach,  her M.A. in history from California State University Long Beach, and her B.S. in history from Bradley University.

Dr. Jennifer Zellet has served as the Superintendent/President of the Antelope Valley Community
College District since 2022. In her over 30-year career in higher education, she has worked in public and private, 2- and 4-year institutions. Zellet started as an English faculty member at Rochester College in Michigan before becoming the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Upon returning to California, she continued as an English faculty member before transitioning to Dean of Business, Behavioral and Social Sciences, and then to Vice President of Instruction.
 
Dr. Zellet earned a Ph.D. in English and an MLitt (Master of Letters) in Scottish and Irish Studies, both from the University of Aberdeen, in Aberdeen, Scotland. Throughout both degrees, she was affiliated with the Research Institute of Irish and Scottish Studies.
